Tidal Wave Dance Team Announces Three Dancers to Squad

(Upper Marlboro, Maryland) The first professional indoor football team to grace a Maryland field in over 15 years has signed three dancers to the Tidal Wave Dance Team.  Allie Livingstone, Helen Pratt and Roanna Valdellon are all exceptional additions to the Tidal Wave Dance Team with extensive dance and cheerleading experience.

Allie Livingstone, a Waldorf Maryland native and fourth runner-up Miss Maryland USA 2004, comes to the Tide with over 10 years of cheerleading experience.  Allie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola’s Honors Program with a degree in Economics and a minor in French.  Her exceptional leadership as a two-year captain of the Loyola College cheerleading squad earned her the Loyola Athletics MVP award twice.  In high school she was an All-American cheerleader nominee as the captain of the Westlake High School Cheerleading Squad and helped lead her Stunt Group to first place in Charles County.

Helen Pratt adds some international flair to the Tide.  Having immigrated from her native United Kingdom nine years ago, Helen now resides in West Virginia.  As one of the founders of the Shepherd University dance team where she specialized in hip-hop and reggae, Helen reigned as captain and choreographer for three years.  In 2003 Helen traveled across 42 states, teaching cheerleading, dance and gymnastics to kids and all-star squads with the Elite Cheerleading Co. in Pittsburgh.

Roanna Valdellon has been cheering competitively since she was five, when she first embraced her love for the sport as a cheerleader for the Lanham Raiders.  A native to Lanham, Roanna helped lead the Eleanor Roosevelt High School squad to their championship standing, as the team’s captain.  Roanna was honored as an All-American Cheerleader from both the National Cheerleading Association and the United Cheerleading Association.  During her time at Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island, where she graduated Summa cum Laude, Roanna performed with Mabuhay, Inc, a Filipino-American dance Troupe.  She finished her Bachelor’s Degree, also Summa cum Laude, in Hospitality Administration from Baltimore International College in Maryland last spring and is excited to join the Chesapeake Tide dance team in their inaugural season.

The November 12 auditions hope to bring even more talented dancers to the Tidal Wave Dance Team.
